Product Development

One of the aims of Lycocard is to determine whether a tomato product with a tested effect in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases can be developed. Utilising scientific information from the in vitro, in vivo and food product studies trials, the food scientists and the food industry aim to design and develop a lycopene-rich tomato product which provides an enhanced level of protection against the incidence of cardiovascular diseases in European citizens (and worldwide).
